Study Abroad Requirement Added. A study abroad requirement has been added for this track. Students choosing Track IV will now be required to study or do an internship abroad for a minimum of one quarter.

Course Requirements Reduced from 12 to Nine. In recognition of the experience students will gain while studying/working abroad, the number of upper division courses required for Track IV has been reduced from 12 to nine. Five courses must come from the track itself, and four courses must come from Area Studies.

Courses Reorganized. Courses in the track have been reorganized into new categories, including Political Organization of Social Cleavages; Mixing of Peoples; Women; Religion; and Development and its Impact on Social Cleavages. See the International Relations Advising Handbook (2005) (or download the PDF version) for further details.
